How To Build A Successful Business Using The Foresight Method

The Foresight Method is a well-known and reliable system that, when followed, increases the odds of success in business. Many large companies that are successful today can attribute their results to some variation of the Foresight Method, especially its first step.

Phase 1 - Identifying an emerging topic.

First, you need to find a polar trend with impactful RFCI and good acceleration (at least 30%). Does not need to be a mainstream topic.

To find polar trends, you can check Reddit and other social media platforms to identify emerging topics that have little to no competition.

I made a separate article on this topic here.

Phase 1 is ESSENTIAL. If you don't get this step right, it could make or break your success. Huge companies today are only successful because they were early.

The earlier the better. If you get in late, there will already be plenty of competition. If you are first, you've got no one to compete with.

Phase 3 - Finding (or creating) a problem around the topic

Sometimes the polar trend you find, literally is a problem already.

If not, you will need to identify or create a problem which would not exist without the topic in question.

Example:

Emerging topic: Hardstyle music becoming increasingly popular in the 2010s

Problem: There were no concerts for those who enjoyed listening to hardstyle music

Solution: Make a concert dedicated to Hardstyle - HSU

You can also create a problem as well. The concept of AI detectors and AI humanizers are a perfect example of this.

AI detectors were made to detect AI usage in text = problem.

AI humanizers were invented to bypass these detectors = solution.

Both these inventions were based around the polar trend at the time - AI chatbots.

Phase 2 - Building A Solution

Building a Solution

After you’ve found a polar trend and identified the problem it creates, the next step is to build the simplest, most direct solution. The goal isn’t complexity, it’s speed. Early movers win because they respond before the rest of the market even realises there’s an opportunity.

A strong solution should do two things:

  1. Directly solve the problem created by the trend.

  2. Offer something that didn’t exist before the trend appeared.

You’re not reinventing the wheel, but rather you’re filling the gap the trend naturally opened.

Example 1:
Emerging topic: Micro-journaling apps gaining traction
Problem: People wanted ultra-short daily prompts but existing apps were bloated
Solution: Build a minimalist, 10-second-a-day journaling tool

Example 2:
Emerging topic: Home cold plunging becomes mainstream
Problem: Beginners had no reliable way to track water cleanliness
Solution: A simple testing kit + app that alerts users when to replace or treat the water

Phase 3 - Marketing

4 options:

  1. PPC ads (meta, google)
  2. Pay influencers and
  3. Create a social media page for your brand and create viral content.
  4. Combination of 2 or more of the above.

Summary:

  • The Foresight Method works because being early to an emerging polar trend gives you a natural advantage before competition appears.

  • Phase 1 is the most important step: identify a trend with strong RFCI and real acceleration by scanning platforms like Reddit and social media.

  • Every trend creates its own problem — your job is to discover or define that problem and position yourself as the one who solves it.

  • Build the simplest, fastest solution to that problem; when you’re early, even basic solutions gain traction and compound over time.
